Hellboy getting film reboot by director of The Descent
Hellboy is getting a movie reboot, no Ron Pearlman allowed!
This reboot follows Hellboy II, which released in 2008. Without Guillermo Del Toro as director the reboot will be headed up by Neil Marshall, the director of The Descent and Dog Soldiers.
The Hellboy reboot will be R-rated, something the creator of Hellboy, Mike Mignola, announced today on social media. So if you really enjoy the original two Hellboy movies, hopefully this announcement helps ease the pain of waiting nine years for no third installment. I’m all for a do-over on the franchise in theaters personally though I am sure there are still some die-hard Del Toro fans who will have trouble letting go of his presentation of the series.
Of course, this reboot is years away most likely so don’t expect to watch it anytime this decade.
