Nintendo dominated social media during E3, 47% of tweets focused on Nintendo versus 28% for Sony, 25% Xbox


Nintendo made a great impression last week at E3. They showed off a few new IPs like Splatoon, Codename STEAM, Project Giant Robot, Project Guard and revived Star Fox. Mario Maker, Captain Toad and Smash Bros also had good showings.

Now it turns out Nintendo dominated most E3 conversations on Twitter. 47% of all E3 related tweets last week involved or mentioned Nintendo. This is compared to 28% for Playstation, 25% for the Xbox brand.

The Nintendo hashtag was used over 30,000 times during the week. Looks like Nintendo was the most talked about video game company during E3 and for good reason. They marketed their games and devices well during the event with 3 days full of attention grabbing game reveals and demos whereas Sony and Microsoft only held player’s attention for their conferences at most.
