PS Vita vs 3DS
By Kevin Douglas Femmel
(Feb. 18, 2012)- With both next generation handhelds out the door and in your pockets I thought this video would be a good debate starter for gamers drawing lines in the sand between devices.
Last generation, the PSP had a huge technological advantage over the Nintendo DS. The Nintendo DS was essentially a portable Nintendo 64 while the PSP was a portable PS2. Fast forward to today, and you will discover Nintendo really closed the gap.
While the Vita certainly will have many games look better than the best 3DS games, the difference is surprisingly minimal. The Vita does have the benefit of 512MB RAM with quad-core processors. However, when you compare Uncharted: Golden Abyss to Resident Evil: Revelations in this video you will notice that outside of a few areas, and the higher resolution on the Vita, Uncharted doesnβt look that much better.
Iβd certainly say the gap between the 3DS and Vita is comparable to the gap between the Nintendo GameCube and Xbox a few years ago. Check out the video for an in depth comparison from the folks over at Nintendo Connect.
