Grand Theft Auto 5 set in Los Angeles

(Oct 25, 2011) — That didn’t take long. Kotaku is reporting that Grand Theft Auto 5 will not only be set in Los Angeles (or San Andreas, which represents California in the GTA universe) but it will also allow gamers to play as multiple characters in game.

This would seem more like combining GTA4′s story with Niko with Luis Lopez and Johnny Klebitz all in one game, instead of expansions. A character creator like the one found in Mass Effect would be pretty awesome, but Rockstar likes to keep tight control over the characters in their plots.

Now, we’re just waiting to see what the game looks like, and what platforms it will be on. Any chance of it being revealed for the Xbox 720? Maybe the Wii U? Odds are it’s for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
