Destiny 2 getting third expansion later this year

Activision revealed this week that they are planning a third major expansion to Destiny 2 for later this year. This unnamed DLC will likely be like Rose of Iron and The Taken King for the original Destiny.

Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg told investors on a call that they believe that “the sentiment” from the public on Destiny 2 is already “shifting” after months of negativity.

There will be a second DLC for Destiny 2 in May but this third pack will not be included in the season pass.

I’m not sure if they are really turning around public opinion personally but perhaps they’ve got enough users to sustain the game. Maybe all will be forgiven by lapsed players in September if they deliver a great expansion. They’ve certainly got a challenge ahead of them.
