Nintendo not doing a live conference for E3 this year
For the third year in a row, Nintendo will not be hosting a traditional E3 press conference. They announced this today, saying:
Finally, the video game tradeshow E3 will be held in
Los Angeles this June. Again this year, we will not
be hosting a large-scale press conference for
institutional investors, analysts and the media.
Nintendo of America will present further information
on our plans at a later date.
You would think the Switch would change their plans due to its success so far but so long as they still do some sort of Direct I’ll be happy. I do miss proper Nintendo E3 shows but a digital presentation will suffice.
Of course we’ll see a wave of “Nintendo isn’t going to E3” posts for the next two months.
