Bungie CEO Harold Ryan steps down
Bungie announced yesterday that CEO Harold Ryan is stepping down from his position. Former Bungie COO Pete Parsons will take his place as CEO. Bungie is in a rough patch with fans clamoring for fixes to several issues with Destiny as well as fans wanting an update on future content for Destiny’s year two.
The company’s new CEO, Pete Parsons, had this to say about the future of Destiny:
To the players of Destiny, I want you to know that my number one priority, and Bungie’s, is and always has been to deliver great games that we can all share together. I believe that Destiny is a one-of-a-kind experience. I also believe you have yet to see our studio’s best work. My new role here at the studio will be entirely focused on fulfilling that promise.
Let’s hope he can deliver. Bungie is really hurting after the positive press for The Taken King wore off.
Reports about Bungie potentially adding more microtransactions or Destiny 2 being delayed out of 2016 have been popping up a lot lately. Parsons has a tough job ahead of him.
