Pokemon outsold GTA, Smash, Dragon Age in US last week

Last week was a busy week for gamers. GTA, Smash Bros, Pokemon, Dragon Age and many more released in the period of 3 days. Wallets were seen weeping in the halls of retailers across the US.

Now some sales data for last week’s US releases has come forward. It appears Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire bested all competition, selling 948k copies in just 3 days in the US.

Grand Theft Auto V on PS4 came in 2nd at 583k, with the Xbox One version coming in third place with 424k. Super Smash Bros apparently sold 419k at retail. Nintendo has confirmed that the game sold 490k in its first few days in the US so that probably means 70k or so of those sales were via the eShop.

Additionally, the PS4 version of Far Cry 4 sold 219k, PS4 version of Dragon Age sold 189k, XB1 version of COD: AW sold 143k, Dragon Age XB1 sold 137k, XB1 Far Cry 4 134k and Assassin’s Creed Unity on Xbox One sold 131k to round out the top ten.
