Xbox One sales ‘doubled’ on US during June
Microsoft has revealed that Xbox One sales in the USA doubled last month off the release of the $399 Kinectless SKU.
In PR Microsoft said this:
Since the new Xbox One offering launched on June 9th, we’ve seen sales of Xbox One more than double* in the US, compared to sales in May, and solid growth in Xbox 360 sales.
It has been estimated that roughly 70k Xbox One systems in May. That would put the system around 140k units during June.
The NPD data releases tomorrow afternoon so we’ll have a better idea of all system sales then. Keep in mind, Microsoft is including units sold to retailers in this statement so it isn’t guaranteed that they sold double units to actual consumers.
