Rumor: Crytek UK staff not showing up to work

Kotaku is reporting that Crytek UK has seen a massive exodus in employees over the past week. Weeks ago word got out that the developer was experiencing financial troubles and not paying staff on time.

Now word is that around 100 staff members at Crytek UK have stopped going to work, issuing letters of grievance with the company over the pay problem or quitting altogether.

Crytek UK has been working on Homefront: The Revolution which was supposed to release next year on next-gen consoles. Another rumor from this is that Crytek UK staff is hoping that publisher Deep Silver will purchase the studio and help with the pay issue so that they can finish developing Homefront.

Things don’t look good for Crytek right now. Hopefully everything gets sorted out as soon as possible.
