Nintendo President Satoru Iwata approval rating goes up to 80% this year

Nintendo President Satoru Iwata will keep his job atop the company that Mario built for another year. Last year Nintendo share holders gave Iwata a 77% approval rating.

If his approval rating dipped below 75% he could have been replaced. This year however he was voted as having a 80.64% approval rating.

I imagine this is largely due to the company turning a profit on the Wii U, testing out new marketing for 3DS and Wii U like with Nintendo using Robot Chicken, Mega 64 and Jessica Chobot in new marketing content, and the strong early sales of Mario Kart 8. All of these factors seem to have reflected on Iwata positively for the time being.
