Sony has spent $25 million more on TV ads for Playstation over Xbox’s TV marketing

A new Wall Street Journal article reveals that Sony spends more on TV marketing for Playstation systems than Microsoft does on Xbox.

As it turns out, Sony had spent $59 million on TV ad placements through this past May while Microsoft had only spent $34 million on Xbox.

Considering how much deeper Microsoft tends to go into their pockets for Xbox systems this is a bit surprising. Then again Sony has been very aggressive with their advertising with the PS4 so this isn’t much of a surprise.
