Rumor: Sony E3 Conference Details Leak, Uncharted PS4 in 2015, PS3/Vita price cuts and more

Dual Shockers is usually pretty good with their sources. That’s what makes the information they got from sources close to Sony recently so interesting. While I have to stress that you should take all of this with a grain of salt, a lot of this makes sense and I tend to trust Dual Shockers when they step forward with a rumor. Here’s a recap of the rumors:

Supposedly Sony will be showing a 3 minute teaser video showing off Uncharted PS4 in-engine. Sadly this is accompanied by the news that Uncharted PS4 won’t ship until summer 2015, a very unfortunate time frame to say the least. I know a lot of people are counting on Uncharted this year but it just doesn’t seem like Naughty Dog can get the game out by the end of the year.

They also report that Media Molecule, developers of Little Big Planet, are working on an impressive city building game for Project Morpheus and will release sometime in late 2015. Gran Turismo 6 will be re-packaged on PS4 by the by the end of 2015 in the “vein of Gran Turismo 7: Prologue”, whatever that means.

God of War 4 will be shown off by will be a strictly CG trailer and won’t arrive until holiday 2015 at the earliest. Speaking of action titles like GOW, Ninja Theory is supposedly working on Heavenly Sword 2 for PS4 as well.

What will be coming out in 2014 for PS4? Well the rumor says that Sony will reboot Syphon Filter with a new installment subtitled Kill Strain and that it may release this year. In addition, Sony is planning a big demo of The Order 1886 for E3 and will be marketing it as the PS4’s marquee holiday title.

Don’t get your hopes up fans but this source is also saying Team Ico’s long in development game, The Last Guardian, will arrive on PS4 before the end of 2014. This is entirely plausible since Ico has been so silent on the game for years but seeing is believing.

The next biggest bit of information is that Guerrilla Games, famous for the Killzone series, will be revealing their visually stunning new RPG franchise. It isn’t going to come out anytime soon but Guerrilla dropping shooters for an RPG sounds interesting to me. In addition to this, Sucker Punch will be unveiling new DLC for InFAMOUS Second Son taking Delsin to new locations and giving him new powers.

A Last of Us sequel will be teased and Sony will be introducing some big games to PS+’s instant game collection. I’d imagine we’ll get Knack of Killzone for PS4 users. GTA V will be shown running on PS4 at the Sony conference but it isn’t clear if this means the next-gen version will be PS4 exclusive or not.

Lastly, Sony will supposedly be introducing price cuts for the PS3 and PS Vita. The PS Vita is practically dead in North America so that makes a lot of sense and the PS3 could use one big, final end of the generation price cut. I’m guessing the Vita slim drops to $169 and the PS3 12GB unit hits $149 while the hard drive equipped model lands at $199 with a few games.

This all sounds pretty damn good (except the part about Uncharted being a 2015 title) but we must use caution. This is still a rumor even if the source has a reliable track record. Still, its hard to not get excited about what all of the three console makers could be showing at E3.
