Rumor: New Nintendo hardware to be shown at E3
Some people in the media believe that Nintendo will be revealing new hardware at E3. Whether this means a re-model of the 3DS, 2DS, Wii U or their upcoming Quality of Life platform we don’t know.
These new rumors stem from IGN where both Jose Otero and IGN co-founder Peer Schneider said recently that they’ve been told that Nintendo is planning to reveal new hardware at E3. This doesn’t appear to be related to the “new Nintendo system” code found in their E3 website which we’ve already debunked.
They’re absolutely going to show new hardware this year. No doubt in my mind that something… ‘Cause I’ve heard from multiple people now. I’ve heard from someone who used to be at Nintendo; I’ve heard it from somebody on the third-party front
I sincerely doubt we get a 3DS or Wii U successor this year, even if its just a small reveal. Maybe they’ll show off the QOL platform or maybe we’ll get a new model of something that already exists.
I’ve been saying for a year now that Nintendo needs to re-model the Wii U. Cut costs wherever they can, shrink down the Game Pad’s screen and get the system as close to $199 as possible. Hopefully we’ll have a worthy delivery on these rumors at E3.
