Nintendo releasing 3DS tethering app in Japan
Nintendo is releasing an app in Japan that allows 3DS owners to tether their handheld to their smartphones. This allows the 3DS system to use the mobile phone’s internet service.
This app will be available tomorrow in Japan but there is no word on a western release for it. If you’re wondering, the app is called ‘Easy Tethering for Nintendo 3DS’ and will be entirely free of charge as it should be.
Japanese users can take a survey after using the app and will be rewarded with an unspecified Virtual Console game for testing it out.
At the moment only certain smartphones or tablets will be supported with more to come in the future.
