Microsoft to focus on ‘hardcore gamers’ at E3

Microsoft’s Phil Spencer revealed some minor details about what the company has planned for Xbox fans at E3 this year.

He revealed that fans won’t have to wait until Tokyo Game Show to see some Japanese games on the Xbox One, hinting that we’ll get some Japanese-centric announcements at E3.

Spencer also says the main focus of their E3 show will be hardcore gamers. Whether this means “hey look we’ve got Call of Duty DLC a month early again and Halo 5!” or something more substantial isn’t clear. I’m going to trust Spencer on this one and hope for some good news.

Additionally, there was some discussion about doing the entire E3 presentation with Cortana’s voice. Spencer says that he doesn’t want to overdo the new Windows Phone voice service so Microsoft backed away from that idea.

Also, don’t hold out for an Xbox handheld anytime soon. Spencer added that the company plans to focus on Windows Phone for the near future so now legitimate mobile Halo online matches for you!
