Latest PS4 update adds 90 minutes to Dual Shock 4 battery life

It looks like the recent PS4 update that brought the ability to dim the Dual Shock 4’s light bar has given players a boost in battery life.

Sadly the boost isn’t very big. Dual Shockers did some tests and discovered that dimming the controller’s light bar as much as possible will net users around 12.5 hours.

Normally the controller will last 11 hours on a single charge on the brightest setting so this only gives players an extra 90 minutes of battery life. Its nice to have some more juice but the difference is so small its hard to get excited about it.
