Super Smash Bros hitting 3DS this summer, Wii U this winter

Nintendo announced today during their Super Smash Bros Nintendo Direct that the 3DS version of Smash Bros, as I had speculated for a year now, will ship before the Wii U version.

The 3DS version will run at 60 frames per second and in full 3D and will release this summer. The Wii U version will not ship until this winter. This is a bit of a disappointing move and I’m fearful it will hurt the sales of the Wii U version.

In the 3DS version players can choose between 2 songs per each stage. Not only that but the 3DS version will have some of the same stages from the Wii U version but will have some exclusive ones too.
