Naughty Dog artist Nate Wells now working for Unfinished Swan developer
Even more employees are leaving Naughty Dog. If you remember Justin Richmond left Naughty Dog last month to work for Riot Games and Amy Hennig, creator of Uncharted, was reportedly forced out in February. She now works at Visceral Games overseeing all Star Wars projects.
Now Nate Wells, the lead artist behind The Last of Us, has moved on from Naughty Dog to work with another Sony studio, Giant Sparrow. If you remember, Giant Sparrow has a three game deal with Sony and their most recent release was The Unfinished Swan on PS3.
Wells said on Twitter:
Yes, I joined the wild, wacky, and ultimately brilliant folks at #GiantSparrow on April 3rd.
I wouldn’t take this as a big deal or sign of anything negative going on at Naughty Dog. Wells only worked for them for a year or so while leading up art on The Last of Us. I’m sure that he’ll bounce around Sony’s first party studios for a while and wouldn’t be surprised if he ended up back at Naughty Dog in the future.
