Microsoft working with Ridley Scott on Halo digital feature

Microsoft is teaming up with critically acclaimed movie director Ridley Scott to make a Halo digital film.

Well they’re working with Ridley’s studio, Scott Free Productions. This digital film will be released before the end of this year and Scott will serve as the executive producer. Sergio Mimica-Gezzan, of Battlestar Galactica fame, will direct it.

At least it doesn’t involve Nas! Still, its nice to see Microsoft use its IP library so well. If only we could get some animated shows based on Rare’s IP catalog.

This project is of course being made in addition to the Spielberg Halo project.
