LiS developer aims to sell 500k of their next game

Dontnod, the studio behind Life is Strange, Remember Me and the upcoming Vampyr, needs to sell 500k copies of their Victorian era vampire adventure to have the game be profitable.

According to MCV, publisher Focus Home (who is publishing Vampyr for Dontnod) says the game will be profitable at 500k copies sold across PC, Xbox and PS4.

They added that the game would be considered a solid success if it manages to sell 1 million copies. Of course, Vampyr is a niche action title about vampires in Victorian England but those sales numbers seem attainable to me with decent marketing.

Dontnod excels at creating wonderful, living worlds at least in my opinion. I’m looking forward to Vampyr, which got delayed a few months back to spring 2018.
