New details on COD:WW2’s social space, zombies and story mode

The latest issue of Game Informer has revealed a ton of details for Call of Duty: WWII. You can read a more detailed recap of what the magazine says right here.

Some of the major details include the focus of the game’s story, which will reportedly center around companionship. I’m guessing the fact that the story mode does not have regenerating health, something Call of Duty hasn’t gone without in a long time, will play into this as your companions die beside you.

The zombie mode, which of course features undead Nazis, will apparently have multiple ways to play and progress through each area. Players will not be limited to one playstyle and will have a variety of ways to tackle the undead hordes.

For online multiplayer a few modes have been confirmed. Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Domination and Hardpoint will all be in the game when it ships in November.

In Headquarters, the game’s social space which supports up to 48 people, will give players activities to kill time between matches. You can even earn loot boxes filled with cosmetic items and if you watch other players open their loot boxes you’ll earn prizes too!

Honestly, this is shaping up to be one of the freshest Call of Duty games in recent memory. I didn’t think I’d hear myself say “I’m looking forward to Call of Duty” in 2017 but here I am!
