Crash Remaster passed ‘wildest expectations’, Activision considering more reboots

Activision seems to have been blown away by the success of Crash Bandicoot: N’Sane Trilogy. The game was the best selling game in June and it was the top selling game on PS4 in July as well.

Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg said recently that the game’s sales “surpassed our wildest expectations by a very large margin,” and that “we are looking at other IP in our catalog.”

The company says they will be looking into more games like N’Sane Trilogy and they won’t be limited to remasters.

Finally, Hirshberg said “we can look at IP like this and see if it can be reborn on new platforms.”

This gives hope to Spyro fans everywhere who have been hoping for a remaster of the purple dragon’s PS1 classics. N’Sane Trilogy being a HD remaster of the three best Crash games, along with a summer release at $39.99, also contributed greatly to its success. The wave of 90’s nostalgia hitting consumers in recent years also helps tremendously.

Hopefully Activision greenlights new Crash games and something for Spyro fans.
