Fire Emblem Heroes earns $500k per day, over $115M so far

Fire Emblem is back in a big way. 2016 saw the release of Fire Emblem Fates, a new 3DS RPG broken up into three parts and #FE Tokyo Mirage Sessions.2017 has seen several new Fire Emblem installments too.

We got a 3DS remake of an older game, Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, in May. We will also get Fire Emblem Warriors for New 3DS and Switch this fall, followed by a brand new original Fire Emblem for the Switch sometime in 2018.

Nintendo sees more money than ever in Fire Emblem, with FE Heroes on mobile devices leading the way. The app has earned Nintendo $115 million in its first six months on the app store and grosses $500 thousand every single day. Over 11.7M people have downloaded the free to play game. That’s a lot of money!

To think, before the release of Fire Emblem Awakening on 3DS in early 2013 many fans thought the franchise was a goner in the west. Intelligent Systems made several necessary changes to the franchise’s formula to make it more accessible to newcomers and since then it’s become one of Nintendo’s top IPs.
