Microsoft: Xbox Game Pass ‘close to launch’
The Xbox Game Pass service that lets Xbox One users download and play 100 Xbox One and Xbox 360 games for only $9.99 per month, is “close to launch”, Microsoft says. The service was announced in February and has been in beta for Xbox Insiders for a month.
They will be removing the Game Pass from the Insider Program on April 28th next week, promising that the service will launch “this spring”. We could see it launch before April ends or possibly a week or two into May.
On paper, Xbox Game Pass represents a great value. Only a handful of titles have been confirmed and with 100 coming, it will be interesting to see what gets added that we don’t know about.
