PS4 system update 4.50 coming out this week
Sony has confirmed that the big 4.50 update for the PS4 will release tomorrow. This long-awaited system update brings USB hard drive support, so games can be run off an external drive rather than the system’s internal drive, as well as a boost mode for PS4 Pro owners that allows games that haven’t been patched to support the 4K console to see improved performance.
Remote play will also get voice chat during online play and PS4 users will now be able to use custom wallpapers in the system’s UI menu.
It’s been a long wait, almost 4 years but the PS4 finally has some of the biggest features fans were demanding at launch, like custom backgrounds and USB HDD support.
