Destiny 2 officially announced, coming to PC/PS4/Xbox One on Sept. 8th
Bungie finally released the debut trailer for Destiny 2. It shows the Tower up in flames, with the Guardians facing a new threat.
The game will be coming to PC now in addition to PS4 and Xbox One. Players will visit new “uncharted” planets and will release on September 8th. Pre-ordering the game will get fans into a beta during the summer. Here’s how Bungie describes the game’s plot:
Humanity’s last safe city has fallen to an overwhelming invasion force led by Ghaul, the imposing commander of the brutal Red Legion. He has stripped the city’s Guardians of their power, and forced the survivors to flee. You will venture to mysterious, unexplored worlds of our solar system to discover an arsenal of weapons and devastating new combat abilities. To defeat the Red Legion and confront Ghaul, you must reunite humanity’s scattered heroes, stand together, and fight back to reclaim our home.
There is no real gameplay in this trailer but Bungie promises to reveal official gameplay in May, a few weeks before E3. As is, Destiny 2’s debut trailer is complete and total HYPE. After putting hundreds of hours into the first game, I am 100% ready for a new take on Bungie’s shared-world shooter.
