Capcom doesn’t deny that they’re making Monster Hunter for Nintendo Switch
When asked directly by the Wall Street Journal this week if they are developing a Monster Hunter game for the Nintendo Switch, Capcom’s Shintaro Kojima did not deny that they are developing a Monster Hunter title for Nintendo’s new hybrid console. He did say that he hopes fans enjoy the 3DS games, which are currently on sale.
They just released Monster Hunter XX, a follow up to X in Japan. X is known in the U.S. as Monster Hunter Generations. They released Generations last summer on Nintendo 3DS and XX is only 3DS in Japan for now. There is no word on whether they are porting XX (likely to be called Generations 2 in the west) to the Nintendo Switch OR a brand new Monster Hunter game.
I am certainly looking forward to them stepping up the franchise to new hardware with more powerful hardware.
