Bungie details Destiny 1’s final event before sequel ‘Age of Triumph’

Bungie revealed details on their final Destiny 1 event this week, announcing that they will revamp old raids like the Vault of Glass for higher light levels, up to level 390. This refresh of existing content also means these raids will drop level 400 items and the game’s overall light level limit will be increased.

In addition to this, Crota’s End and Vault of Glass will receive Challenge Modes. There is Age of Triumph, an in-game book of records that span the game’s three year library of content that tasks players with achieving it all. These records should be tailored to each Guardian’s play style so thankfully you won’t have to have had to do something in particular in years 1 or 2.

This will be the last big event for the original Destiny. Destiny 2 is supposed to ship this year and was supposed to release last year. Bungie and Activision have announced that much of your Destiny 1 content will not transfer to the second game so even though they had a 10 year plan to keep your Guardian’s feats and achievements with you, it appears that the franchise will start fresh with its sequel.
