Mass Effect Andromeda releasing March 21

Bioware has announced that Mass Effect Andromeda will release on PC, Xbox One and PS4 on March 21st in the US. Europeans will have to wait two days until March 23rd.

This new entry in the series puts players in the shoes of a new lead character in a different part of the universe. The game will feature some PS4 Pro enhancements but Bioware isn’t talking about any updates for Xbox Scorpio, which is set to release much later this year.

It seems like this game is releasing out of nowhere. A beta of the games multiplayer should be happening soon. Releasing around the same time as the Nintendo Switch, which EA says it won’t release Andromeda on Nintendo’s new console, and just before Persona 5 puts the game in a tough spot for RPG fans.

Like Titanfall 2 and Battlefield One this past holiday I would stress waiting on the game if possible. We haven’t seen a whole lot of it and even if it is fantastic, like I’m anticipating, TF2 and BF1 were discounted heavily by retailers mere weeks after release. Just something to keep in mind.
