Allison Road finishes what P.T. started, slated for 2016 release
British game maker Chris Kesler is making his own P.T. inspired, short horror title. Its called Allison Road and its currently scheduled for a 2016 release on PC with Oculus Rift support. Kesler has worked on movies such as Guardians of the Galaxy and Avatar.
The game is heavily inspired by P.T. and The Amityville Horror. Kesler describes the gameplay as so:
It’s in the middle of the night when you are rudely woken up by a loud noise, followed by a scream. You witness a merciless fight of the couple living upstairs, that culminates in the murder of the girl. From this point onward, the clock is ticking, and you have until 3:15AM to solve the girl’s horrid murder, as her demise is eternally linked to your downfall.
It sounds like P.T. in a different country. Some of the early screens show a very tense, creepy atmosphere. Whether it will be as dark as Del Toro/Kojima’s creation remains to be seen but its nice to see SOMEONE stepping up to give us an experience like P.T., more fleshed out.
No word on whether it will come to PS4. With P.T. clearly showing a market for it on the console. Its just a matter of whether Kesler has the resources to bring the game to Sony’s system. Ideally, Sony would lend a hand in doing so.
