Sony buys OnLives game streaming patents
Gaikai and OnLive were two of the big game streaming services years ago. Now it appears Sony owns chunks of both. It was revealed today that Sony has purchased a majority of the technology streaming patents OnLive had.
OnLive is of course, closing down at the end of April. Most games are free to stream on the service until the doors (virtual doors) close. Sony buying these patents will probably help to make PS Now even better in the future.
Let’s hope this purchase encourages Sony to add more games to PS Now, especially PS1 and PS2.
