Xbox One buyers get a free copy of Forza 5 next week

Major Nelson revealed earlier today that Xbox One buyers next week will get a free digital copy of Forza 5 to go along with their $499 console. This move sort of seems timely with Titanfall on the horizon and the Xbox One’s low sales when compared to Wii U and PS4.

Nelson says:

Starting at select retailers next week in the U.S., a digital copy of Forza Motorsport 5 will be included with purchases of Xbox One for the retail price of $499.99 for a limited time. Hailed by critics and consumers alike as the best-looking and most realistic racing game of this, or any other generation, Forza Motorsport 5 has been embraced by Xbox One fans worldwide, becoming the best-selling racing game by console attach over the past decade.

I’m not sure if this Forza digital copy will just be a code that retailers print on your receipt to download it later or if it will come on the Xbox One’s hard drive.

If it is just a code that is printed that makes the $499 Titanfall bundle look even sweeter as consumers would be getting two $60 games for the normal Xbox One price. Basically that’s $120 worth of games in a $500 package, kind of lowering the system’s price to $380 if you really care about these two games.
