PS Vita passes 1 million units sold YTD in Japan
Sony just got some good news from Media Create. The Japanese sales tracker is reporting that the PS Vita passed the 1 million units sold in 2013 mark last week, ending December 1st.
A lot has been made about the Vita not selling very well but its made a small resurgence in Japan recently. Sure, it still fails to get close to the Nintendo 3DS but selling 20k-30k per week in Japan isn’t bad by any means.
With that the Vita passes 1 million units in Japan for the year with a few weeks left to go. You’ve got to wonder if it can hit 1.1 million or what kind of sales boost the holidays may give it, if any at all.
