Yet another retailer selling Wii U for £149 ($218)
Nintendo may not want to cut the Wii U’s price anytime soon but retailers are dying for a reason to get these systems off their shelves. Particularly in the UK.
It seems like every other day I post about a European retailer selling the Wii U for a dramatically lowered price. Today ASADA Direct joins us with a tremendous deal on both the Basic and Deluxe SKUs.
These are among the lowest prices I’ve seen on the Wii U. It’s going to be hard for Nintendo to wait until first party software starts releasing in the summer. You can’t move hardware without good software so perhaps once Pikmin, Wii Fit U, Pokemon Rumble U, etc come out maybe hardware sales will pick up. A price drop in the mean time won’t fix all of the system’s problems but it certainly will help.
US gamers should know that these deals come out to $218 for the 8GB and $310 for the 32GB unit in US dollars. Sadly they only ship to the UK.
