Nintendo: Our E3 will be all about already announced games, smaller events for America
Nintendo stated in their investors meeting tonight what their focus this E3 will be on.
They stated that their main focus will be discussing and displaying games that have been already announced, saying that if they do announce new games they will likely be via Nintendo Direct videos. They plan to only show games that will come out in 2013 for the most part.
So that probably means we won’t be seeing Retro’s project at E3. Only announced games. I don’t really have a problem with this stance. Nintendo already stated they will have Super Mario 3D and Mario Kart 8 playable at E3 this year. I can’t imagine two better titles to turn the Wii U’s sales around.
Thankfully this means Monolith’s X, SMTxFire Emblem. Yarn Yoshi, Super Mario 3D, Mario Kart 8, Wii U Party, Pikmin, Wii Fit U, Wind Waker HD are all likely to be shown in some form.
Never fear Nintendo also added that for America they will have several smaller events, likely multiple Nintendo Directs, to announce various info. So expect their E3 to be like last years with multiple Nintendo Directs around it.
