The Zombi U Wii U Deluxe bundle hit American stores this past Sunday and we now have a reason why it took so long to come to the US whereas it was released at launch in Europe. Its because Nintendo installed the most up to date system software on the console already!
A NeoGAF poster purchased the console this weekend and discovered that he didn’t need to perform the dreaded hour long system update that all Wii U early adopters had to endure. He’s not the only one, we’ve been told by friends who picked up the bundle that they didn’t have to perform the dreaded system update either. Users around the web who bought this bundle have sent us their confirmation of this news as well.
Took Nintendo long enough to do this. I would hope that the next big batch of Wii U consoles (that aren’t this awesome $390 bundle) would include the most current system software.
