The Nickelodean Kids’ Choice awards will be held March 24th and the network has a surprising nominee for the category of “Favorite Video Game” this year.
The nominees are Just Dance 4, Mario Kart 7, Skylanders Giants and,… Wii Sports?
Nickelodean justifies Wii Sports nomination by saying:
This game first got us on our feet in 2006, and its charms are pretty much here to stay. Thanks to its unique motion-sensing Wii Remote, we can play games like golf, baseball, bowling and more, right at home!
Yes, the 2006 launch pack-in for the Wii is nominated for Nickelodean’s Favorite Game of the Year. I’d like to see it win just for the zaniness of a 7 year old game winning an award like this. Sure, its not exactly a renowned reward but it is comical nonetheless.
