Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs is one of 2013′s most anticipated games. Its coming to PC, PS4, PS3, 360, and Wii U. But Ubisoft’s CEO recently stated that they are currently only working on the next-gen versions of the game (Wii U, PC, PS4) and that work on the PS3/360 versions won’t start for a while.
“The team is developing it on high end pc’s and next gen, after that other teams are looking how they can make it fit for the older generation. So the first approach is to see how they can take full advantage of the next gen consoles.”
The question was phrased to them asking about the development of the game on PS3/360 specifically, and Ubisoft has already stated that they have the Wii U version up and running.
So it appears Nintendo’s new console is getting a port of the PC/PS4 versions, and that the 360/PS3 versions will be downports of those versions.
Good to hear for Wii U players, that the game is being made with its hardware power in mind.
