It seems that Uncharted 3′s multiplayer mode will be going free to play on PS3. Sony confirmed this news earlier today on the Playstation Blog.
The only problem is they updated their post and removed any mention of Uncharted 3′s multiplayer going free to play. Naughty Dog has been hinting at something happening before the end of the month and this would fit the bill.
It appears Sony let the cat out of the bag too soon in regards to the multiplayer mode in Uncharted 3 going free to play. This move doesn’t surprise me as they did something similar with Killzone’s multiplayer in the past.
Hopefully we’ll get confirmation of this in the next 24 hours or so, Uncharted 3 has a wonderful multiplayer setup and I stress that if this does indeed become free that you should download it as soon as it becomes available.
