Rumor: Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag incoming, cue jokes relating to the 80′s punk rock band

Yes, I will get to making Henry Rollins and 80′s punk rock band Black Flag jokes in a moment. For now we must digest a new rumor on the latest Assassin’s Creed game.

The game is supposedly titled Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag and will feature pirates! Yes, pirates! A reddit user claims he/she saw a presentation where somemone who works with a Ubisoft employee sharing this information. Its best to read what this reddit user is saying about it:

Anyway, I was on a flight where the lady in the row in front of me was working on a powerpoint presentation on marketing strategies of several gaming titles. And one that stood out the most was AC4: Black Flags, aimed for release 2013 Holiday season according to her slide. It already had a cool looking logo for it.

I don’t know if this rumor will prove to be true but it doesn’t sound far fetched. I actually hope it is true and that you spend the entire game as a character who is a pathological liar who walks around in white briefs while singing Aretha Franklin songs.

Okay, only Henry Rollins fans would get that joke. There has to be some sort of Black Flag related easter egg if this game does come out. Perhaps the main character will have a ‘Nervous Breakdown’ wandering the high seas while being ‘Thirsty and Miserable’. In the end I predict the main character will try to ‘Fix’ himself before he ‘Rises Above’.
