The Times is reporting that Sony is ‘considering’ pricing the PS4 at 300 Euros at launch.
This would translate to roughly $450 US dollars. I think most people are hoping for $399 at launch for the best model. If the Wii U is doing as badly as it is with a Mario launch title I think Sony would benefit from having as close to $300 price point as they can afford.
A price like this would also make the PS4 almost $100 cheaper than what the PS3 launch for in Europe back in 2007. It would be a bold move by Sony and I’m sure they’re a long way away from deciding the console’s price.
