A new Sonic game has been rumored for a while. Just a few weeks ago there was talk of a game called “Sonic Propel”. Now we’ve got even more info to digest.
Sonic Stadium is reporting that they have a source who tells them that a brand new Sonic game will be hitting Vita/3DS/WiiU/PS3/360 and next-gen consoles later this year. The game will follow the style of Colors and Generations by having a mix of 2D and 3D gameplay.
It will supposedly feature 20 stages (think 3 acts per stage possibly) with up to 10 playable characters. Stages will have three different paths to take and the end of each path leads to a different stages. You unlock characters by completing these stages.
Sega is supposedly going to reveal this title on Hedgehog day, February 2nd. We’ll have to wait and see if this rumor comes true. It sounds a little wacky, but that’s sort of what I expect from Sega on this one. Sounds like Sonic Adventure 3 to me.
