Soraya Saga, a game designer working at Monolith Software (developers of Xenoblade Chronicles) retweeted Nintendo’s recent message about their Nintendo Direct presentation for tomorrow. I won’t highlight the retweet because it obviously says nothing new, its just a retweet.
Or is it more than that?
Soraya Saga has only retweeted three other tweets from Nintendo in the past. Back in September she retweeted a Nintendo Direct tweet and that Nintendo Direct presentation spoke about Monolith Software. In that Direct presentation Iwata said Monolith Software is hard at work on their next game, which will be for the Wii U.
The game wasn’t formally announced by Nintendo wanted us to know that Monolith was working hard on something, so Saga (as an employee of Monolith) naturally retweeted the message. Then fast forward to Nintendo’s Direct presentation just before the Wii U launch in November.
Soraya Saga retweeted Nintendo’s Direct tweet then as well. Now, that Nintendo Direct presentation never mentioned Monolith Software but it was Nintendo’s big “this is the Wii U” presentation just before launch. Nintendo President Satoru Iwata even unboxed a Wii U for the world. So Saga could have just being doing the company a favor by retweeting this message since it had nothing to do with Monolith.
But since Saga seems to have a habit (at least 50% of the time) of retweeting Nintendo’s messages when those Direct presentations feature something relating to Monolith Software this could mean something.
Perhaps Saga wants people to pay extra attention to this particular presentation because Monolith’s new game will finally be revealed. Nintendo said this presentation will focus on “new” first party games. Monolith’s new game would fit the bill for that.
We have a 50% chance we see something Monolith Software related tomorrow I’d say, especially since Soraya Saga did not retweet any other Nintendo Direct announcements other than one that featured Monolith and another that had a Wii U system unboxing. She even ignored Nintendo’s recent Pokemon Direct, so she doesn’t appear to hand out retweets that easily.
We won’t have to wait long as Nintendo’s latest Direct presentation will take place tomorrow morning. Hopefully we finally get a glimpse into Monolith’s new game.Rumor: Monolith Software's new Wii U game to be revealed tomorrow?,
