Monolith’s Wii U game, X, will have online play

We’re still recovering from Monolith Software’s new Wii U game reveal, X. The game looked impressive in more ways than one.

Now we’re noticing that the trailer confirmed online play for the game. At one point in the trailer you see a dialog box to the left of the screen. The text is in Japanese and it is people conversing with each other, greeting one another.

It isn’t clear if this is online co-op but I’d assume so. We should expect more updates on the game in the future.

      Hopefully it is optional. I’m getting a distinct Monster Hunter vibe from it personally. Looking forward to the game even with very little information available.

        shulk was in the trailer, along with the character you were.

        My thinking is its like dq IX with in and out drop in coop but you can play the entire game with a cast of characters sp

          Sounds pretty good. I have this bad feeling we won’t hear about this game again in all of 2013. I hope that bad feeling is wrong.

            it will most likely be at another nintendo direct this year or e3.
            But at least its confirmed for localization globally.

            Thank god for that. No more waiting around for a year with little hope for localization. I appreciate that Nintendo addresses fears of a game like this not coming to the west right away.
