Capcom is hinting at the possibility of a stand-alone Resident Evil: Mercenaries game for consoles. The 3DS received one last year and it was good despite a lack of content.
Recently Capcom was asked about this possibility and replied:
“Understood on the request. Let’s talk next week on this topic. The other thing you should look forward to is trying out the extremely expanded Raid Mode (details to come in the coming months) in RE: Revelations. I find it scratches a LOT of the same itches.”
I don’t believe they would say “let’s talk next week” if something wasn’t up. Perhaps a Mercs game is in the works for consoles after all? Or maybe more DLC for Resident Evil 6 is what they’re referring to.
I guess we only have a week to wait until we find out!
