Masahiro Sakurai wants people to understand that Smash Bros 4 is a long ways off. How long?
Well Sakurai wishes people would “forget” about him for a while because of how long the wait is going to be.
Sakurai recently told Famitsu:
“Instead of talking about what Smash Bros. will be like, I’m just going to say ‘I’m making you wait for it!’ and keep going along. I want to put my all into a full-on launch that really makes that wait worth it.”
He’s even cut down on using Twitter and other social networks because he wants to put his full focus on the game. He says that when he tweets about a particular video game character that fans misinterpret that as a hint to which characters will be in the final game.
With a statement like this I wouldn’t expect to see Smash Bros 4 at E3 2013. Nintendo could fill the void it leaves with a 3D Super Mario game or Mario Kart 8. Don’t worry folks, it is going to be a long wait but it will worth it in the end.
Super Smash Bros 4 will be 'worth the wait' says Sakurai,
