Rumor: GBA games coming to 3DS eShop starting with Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and others

Nintendo of Europe’s press server has let the cat out of the bag and revealed that Game Boy Advance games will be coming to the 3DS eShop for sale to all consumers very soon.

Nintendo’s press server contains the image you see above with listings for Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, Super Mario Ball and Mario Golf.

The last time GBA games showed up on a Nintendo website it happened to Nintendo of Australia and they denied the incoming arrival of GBA games on the eShop. But as you can guess these listings wouldn’t be showing up on different Nintendo sites if there wasn’t something happening behind the scenes.

Also, these three Mario games are different than the GBA games previously listed by Nintendo of Australia, adding more fuel to the fire because this would have to be 4 separate listing errors by Nintendo if they are not coming to the eShop.

It’s most likely Nintendo wants to save the addition of GBA games to the eShop as a surprise for a Nintendo Direct, so they’d likely deny it until then. But rest assured, if these are appearing on their press server it means they have full intention of releasing these three GBA games on the eShop at some point. And is Superstar Saga a way to start off GBA sales on the eShop or what?
