Retailer lists Zelda and Mario Kart for Wii U

Amazon France is listing two games that we know are going to become a reality on the Wii U. Though we would hope these listings could mean they are closer than we think.

They’re currently listing The Legend of Zelda and Mario Kart for the Wii U. No information other than a price is given sadly.

You would think that if Nintendo wants to counter the possibly release of other next-gen consoles from Sony and Microsoft next year that a brand new Mario Kart or Zelda would combat that quite well. Two years of turn around between Zelda titles seems short since Skyward Sword came out in 2011 but it isn’t impossible.

Majora’s Mask released barely two years after Ocarina of Time though it did benefit from sharing a lot of assets. Perhaps this Wii U Zelda could be an HD collection of older titles or a full game based on the tech demo shown at E3 2011 (even if that was based off Twilight Princess).

Mario Kart is much easier to imagine. Nintendo would be hard pressed to find a better title to combat new consoles from MS/Sony than their popular kart racer.

Another title, Concept Grand Prix has been revealed by a similar Amazon France listing though there is even less details about it than Zelda or Mario Kart.
