We already knew that the extra levels found in the PC version of Mutant Mudds would be coming out on the 3DS at some point. Now we have a release window for the first DLC for one of the best eShop games.
Renegade Kid’s Jools Watsham tweeted this earlier today:
“All 60 Mutant Mudds levels tested/completed. Looks like this game is nearly ready for eShop prime-time! Nearly = 4 to 6 weeks btw. Mudds needs to go through Nintendo testing and then get in the queue for update/release.”
Good to see them arriving so soon. It is still a little odd to see DLC, especially free DLC coming out on Nintendo platforms.
Yes it has happened in the past, and you can argue that exclusive downloadable Pokemon counted towards DLC a long time ago. But it is great to see new content breathe life into old games via Nintendo’s digital store front.
I can’t stress to you enough that if you have a 3DS and haven’t tried Mutant Mudds to download the demo now. It is a great 2D platformer with some of the best use of the 3D effect of any 3DS game.
New levels coming to Mutant Mudds on 3DS very soon, for free,
